State Rep. congratulates students for finishing safety program
Kids taught how to prep emergency kits, plans
State Rep. Ed Brooks of Reedsburg visited Pineview Elementary School Friday to congratulate students for their participation in an emergency preparedness program.
The STEP program is a classroom curriculum sponsored by AT&T to prepare students for emergencies and disasters. It shows students how to assemble an emergency kit and emergency plan.
Teachers at Reedsburg's Pineview school were provided with materials at no expense. Students received emergency kits, including a flashlight, first aid kit and an emergency blanket.
