Friendship man arrested for 5th OWI | Crime
A man from Friendship was arrested on charges of fifth-offense operating while intoxicated early Sunday morning on Highway 12 in Baraboo, according to a release.
Around 2:45 a.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle being driven by 26-year-old Louis J. Meinhardt, officials said. The vehicle smelled of burnt marijuana and Meinhardt appeared to be under the influence of marijuana.
Deputies said Meinhardt failed field sobriety tests, and marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.
Meinhardt was arrested on charges of fifth-offense OWI, third-offense operating after suspension, felony bail jumping, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
